Beach Essentials | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies,

Only 12 more days till I get to sunbathe on the beautiful Italian beaches and I’m already thinking about what I’m going to be bringing to the beach with me everyday. As a load of you are already heading to the beach, pool or park I thought a beach essentials post would be perfect!

1. A protective lip balm- I can never leave the house without my eos lip balm, in summer I like to use the lemon one as it has SPF 15.

2. My phone- its always great to have to you can listen to music and take selfies and also its always safe to keep it on hand incase of an emergency.

3. Healthy snacks- I always get really hungry after being in the sun all day so I usually like to bring an apple or some grapes.

4.  A book- I really need to start reading more and as I’m doing ‘of Mice and Men’ for my exams next year I thought I would be a great book to re-read over the summer. Another alternative would be the Audible version.

5. Towel- you definitely need to bring a towel to the beach or pool, you could even bring it to the park if you’re planning on getting wet.

6. Flip flops- their really easy to keep in your bag and just slip into at the beach. I always need them if I’m going to the kiosk.

7. Tanning oil- I like using this as I just get a deeper tan quicker but this isn’t for everyone.

8. Sunglasses- these have many purposes, one, they protect your eyes, two, you can actually see without squinting and three, they make to look 10x better.

9. Water- never leave without a few bottles of water. You always need to stay hydrated, I even like to bring an icepack to keep everything cool.

10. Sun protection- most tanning oils don’t protect you and you always need at leave some SPF.

11. Moisturizers- this is a must, as skin always tends to get dry at the pool or beach.

12. Makeup- I don’t wear any makeup to the beach or pool and keep it minimal when I go to the park so after a long day I like to apply some powder to reduce shine and a bit of mascara to emphasize my eyes.

13. Underwear! - I normally wear my bikini to the pool or beach and on countless occasions I’ve forgot to pack a change for the way back!

14. Cover up- this isn’t necessary but I think bringing a cover up is super cute, I wear one if I’m going to the kiosk or if its getting slightly chilly.

L'Oreal Paris Casting Sunkiss Jelly Review

Hello my lovelies,

I'm super excited about this review because I really love this product!

Before I get into raving about how much I love it let me give you some info about my hair. My hair colour is constantly changing as soon as it gets a bit of sun so basically in summer is a really light brown with blonde hints and in winter it can get as dark as a chocolate brown. I really was missing my light brown and I couldn’t wait till the sun came out so when I saw this product I had to get my hand on it straight away!

L’Oreal Paris Casting Sunkiss Jelly is amazing. It’s a gradual lightening gel which you can apply on wet or dry hair and you simply leave it in, you can make the effect faster my exposing your self to the sun or using a hair dryer. The effect is permanent but the effect varies on how many times you use it. Obviously the more applications the lighter the hair will be. It mimics the look of your hair after a summer in the sun, which I find amazing. It literally is summer in a tube.

As I have never dyed my hair I was slightly worried at first but it’s the easiest application and your really cant go wrong.  There are 3 different bottles, 01 for light brown to dark blonde, 02 for dark blonde to light blonde and 03 for light blonde to very light blonde. When I went to superdrug to but mine it was all gone expect for the last 02 bottle and there was no way I wasn’t getting it but it was perfect.

It left a delicate fruity scent after every use, which was very pleasing.
For only £4.99- 5.99 I would definitely recommend it. It lasted me 5 applications and I have quiet long hair.

The Perfect Tan | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies!

I really haven’t been keeping up with my weekly postings and I’m super sorry! Exams and the heat have really been taking up all my time. But no worries, I’m back with another post about The Count Down To Summer!

I’m going to beautiful Italy this summer and I’m going to be at the beach everyday and I know I ant to do everything I can to get the darkest tan I can and then keep it for the longest time possible! Even if your not going anywhere special and your just going to be tanning at the park or even in your garden this post will still be useful to you.

1-  Drink plenty of water, as you need to keep hydrated, if your not hydrated your skin wont take in the tan as much!
2-  Use sunscreen! This is a must as you’ll just burn and your tan is more likely to peel. Also you want to be protected from skin cancer.
3-    Eat a carrot a day! This might just be an old wives tale but I swear by it.
4-    After a few days of tanning naturally you can use tanning oils which help tan faster and dark but I wouldn’t recommended this for people with fairer skin.
5-   Try to alternate from front to back regularly and for the same period of time, I always forget to.
6-   Use after tan which keep moisturizes and keep you tanned longer.

P.S dont for get your lips can burn too so always use a lipbalm with SPF.

Obviously I’m no expert but this is simply what I’ve been told over the years and what I found works best for me.

The Playlist | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies!

As you know if you read my I’ve started getting fit for summer and I’ve posted a work out routine already but I think that a really important thing to have when you work out is an awesome playlist.

I really struggled to find the perfect one so I just made my own!

My work out playlist:
-       Bounce by Iggy Azalea
-       Feelin’ Myself by will.i.am
-       Wop by Flo Rida and J Dash
-       Turn Down for What by DJ Snake and Lil Jon
-       Waves by Mr.Probz
-       La La La by Shakira
-       Nobody To Love by Sigma
-       Run Run Run by Celeste Buckingham

These are just my current favorite songs which motivates me during my work out but this obviously isn’t the right playlist for everyone.

A great App or website to find your perfect Playlist is 8tracks, it literally has something for everyone, every different mood and location!

Primark Fashion Nails Review

Hello my lovelies!

Recently I’ve come across the Fashion Nails collection in Primark Beauty and there amazing! At first I wasn’t sure if I would like them but they only cost me £1 so I thought ‘why not try them’.They are by far the most amazing false nails I’ve ever tried! Primark carries a load of different colours and designs but I just picked the most basic ones.

Every time I wore the nails I received a ton of compliments on how natural they looked and where I had gotten them done, everyone was so surprised when I told them they were just a pound in Primark. The next time I go into Primark I’m definitely stocking up!

My Workout | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies,
I haven’t posted in a few weeks for a few reasons. The first was that I was literally out of ideas and really didn’t want to post a super boring and useless post. The second is that recently I’ve been super busy with revision and exams so really have not found the time to but finally I had a little light bulb moment.

As were in spring right now the weather is getting warmer and I thought it was time to start getting fit again and loose the extra pounds I gained over the winter! I love food and worship Nutella but it was time to STOP and start my Journey to my summer body.
This post is going to be part of a series on what I’ve been doing to achieve my goal – work out, diet/meal plan, timetable, outfits and other stuff!

I’m not an expert in the matter and do not mean to sound like I am but this is that I do to stay fit and get into shape.

My Workout-
20 min jog
10 min walk
100 star jumps
100 crunches
100 squats
50 hip bridges
30 jump lunges
25 leg raises
25 side leg raises
25 fire hydrants
25 donkey kicks
20 high knees
20 push ups
1 min plank

Notes-
Take regular water breaks
Stretch before and after
If in need take a break
Don’t push yourself
Start of easier or harder depending on how you feel comfortable

Hope you liked this post and I’m looking forward to the next posts!
