Beach Essentials | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies,

Only 12 more days till I get to sunbathe on the beautiful Italian beaches and I’m already thinking about what I’m going to be bringing to the beach with me everyday. As a load of you are already heading to the beach, pool or park I thought a beach essentials post would be perfect!

1. A protective lip balm- I can never leave the house without my eos lip balm, in summer I like to use the lemon one as it has SPF 15.

2. My phone- its always great to have to you can listen to music and take selfies and also its always safe to keep it on hand incase of an emergency.

3. Healthy snacks- I always get really hungry after being in the sun all day so I usually like to bring an apple or some grapes.

4.  A book- I really need to start reading more and as I’m doing ‘of Mice and Men’ for my exams next year I thought I would be a great book to re-read over the summer. Another alternative would be the Audible version.

5. Towel- you definitely need to bring a towel to the beach or pool, you could even bring it to the park if you’re planning on getting wet.

6. Flip flops- their really easy to keep in your bag and just slip into at the beach. I always need them if I’m going to the kiosk.

7. Tanning oil- I like using this as I just get a deeper tan quicker but this isn’t for everyone.

8. Sunglasses- these have many purposes, one, they protect your eyes, two, you can actually see without squinting and three, they make to look 10x better.

9. Water- never leave without a few bottles of water. You always need to stay hydrated, I even like to bring an icepack to keep everything cool.

10. Sun protection- most tanning oils don’t protect you and you always need at leave some SPF.

11. Moisturizers- this is a must, as skin always tends to get dry at the pool or beach.

12. Makeup- I don’t wear any makeup to the beach or pool and keep it minimal when I go to the park so after a long day I like to apply some powder to reduce shine and a bit of mascara to emphasize my eyes.

13. Underwear! - I normally wear my bikini to the pool or beach and on countless occasions I’ve forgot to pack a change for the way back!

14. Cover up- this isn’t necessary but I think bringing a cover up is super cute, I wear one if I’m going to the kiosk or if its getting slightly chilly.

L'Oreal Paris Casting Sunkiss Jelly Review

Hello my lovelies,

I'm super excited about this review because I really love this product!

Before I get into raving about how much I love it let me give you some info about my hair. My hair colour is constantly changing as soon as it gets a bit of sun so basically in summer is a really light brown with blonde hints and in winter it can get as dark as a chocolate brown. I really was missing my light brown and I couldn’t wait till the sun came out so when I saw this product I had to get my hand on it straight away!

L’Oreal Paris Casting Sunkiss Jelly is amazing. It’s a gradual lightening gel which you can apply on wet or dry hair and you simply leave it in, you can make the effect faster my exposing your self to the sun or using a hair dryer. The effect is permanent but the effect varies on how many times you use it. Obviously the more applications the lighter the hair will be. It mimics the look of your hair after a summer in the sun, which I find amazing. It literally is summer in a tube.

As I have never dyed my hair I was slightly worried at first but it’s the easiest application and your really cant go wrong.  There are 3 different bottles, 01 for light brown to dark blonde, 02 for dark blonde to light blonde and 03 for light blonde to very light blonde. When I went to superdrug to but mine it was all gone expect for the last 02 bottle and there was no way I wasn’t getting it but it was perfect.

It left a delicate fruity scent after every use, which was very pleasing.
For only £4.99- 5.99 I would definitely recommend it. It lasted me 5 applications and I have quiet long hair.

The Perfect Tan | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies!

I really haven’t been keeping up with my weekly postings and I’m super sorry! Exams and the heat have really been taking up all my time. But no worries, I’m back with another post about The Count Down To Summer!

I’m going to beautiful Italy this summer and I’m going to be at the beach everyday and I know I ant to do everything I can to get the darkest tan I can and then keep it for the longest time possible! Even if your not going anywhere special and your just going to be tanning at the park or even in your garden this post will still be useful to you.

1-  Drink plenty of water, as you need to keep hydrated, if your not hydrated your skin wont take in the tan as much!
2-  Use sunscreen! This is a must as you’ll just burn and your tan is more likely to peel. Also you want to be protected from skin cancer.
3-    Eat a carrot a day! This might just be an old wives tale but I swear by it.
4-    After a few days of tanning naturally you can use tanning oils which help tan faster and dark but I wouldn’t recommended this for people with fairer skin.
5-   Try to alternate from front to back regularly and for the same period of time, I always forget to.
6-   Use after tan which keep moisturizes and keep you tanned longer.

P.S dont for get your lips can burn too so always use a lipbalm with SPF.

Obviously I’m no expert but this is simply what I’ve been told over the years and what I found works best for me.

The Playlist | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies!

As you know if you read my I’ve started getting fit for summer and I’ve posted a work out routine already but I think that a really important thing to have when you work out is an awesome playlist.

I really struggled to find the perfect one so I just made my own!

My work out playlist:
-       Bounce by Iggy Azalea
-       Feelin’ Myself by will.i.am
-       Wop by Flo Rida and J Dash
-       Turn Down for What by DJ Snake and Lil Jon
-       Waves by Mr.Probz
-       La La La by Shakira
-       Nobody To Love by Sigma
-       Run Run Run by Celeste Buckingham

These are just my current favorite songs which motivates me during my work out but this obviously isn’t the right playlist for everyone.

A great App or website to find your perfect Playlist is 8tracks, it literally has something for everyone, every different mood and location!

Primark Fashion Nails Review

Hello my lovelies!

Recently I’ve come across the Fashion Nails collection in Primark Beauty and there amazing! At first I wasn’t sure if I would like them but they only cost me £1 so I thought ‘why not try them’.They are by far the most amazing false nails I’ve ever tried! Primark carries a load of different colours and designs but I just picked the most basic ones.

Every time I wore the nails I received a ton of compliments on how natural they looked and where I had gotten them done, everyone was so surprised when I told them they were just a pound in Primark. The next time I go into Primark I’m definitely stocking up!

My Workout | The Count Down To Summer

Hello my lovelies,
I haven’t posted in a few weeks for a few reasons. The first was that I was literally out of ideas and really didn’t want to post a super boring and useless post. The second is that recently I’ve been super busy with revision and exams so really have not found the time to but finally I had a little light bulb moment.

As were in spring right now the weather is getting warmer and I thought it was time to start getting fit again and loose the extra pounds I gained over the winter! I love food and worship Nutella but it was time to STOP and start my Journey to my summer body.
This post is going to be part of a series on what I’ve been doing to achieve my goal – work out, diet/meal plan, timetable, outfits and other stuff!

I’m not an expert in the matter and do not mean to sound like I am but this is that I do to stay fit and get into shape.

My Workout-
20 min jog
10 min walk
100 star jumps
100 crunches
100 squats
50 hip bridges
30 jump lunges
25 leg raises
25 side leg raises
25 fire hydrants
25 donkey kicks
20 high knees
20 push ups
1 min plank

Notes-
Take regular water breaks
Stretch before and after
If in need take a break
Don’t push yourself
Start of easier or harder depending on how you feel comfortable

Hope you liked this post and I’m looking forward to the next posts!

Best and Worst Mascaras

Hello my lovelies,
Recently I’m almost on the verge of finishing a bunch of my beauty products so I thought I’d share my best and worst mascaras.

My best mascaras are:
1.     L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes – it really does create clumpless voluminous lashes. It stays on without flaking for the whole day and I never end up having panda eyes. 4.5/5
2.     Covergirl lash blast volume- I’m in love with this mascara it lengthens like crazy as well as add a ‘blast’ of volume. I were this alone and it already makes a huge difference to my lashes but in combination to the million mascara my lashes become so big and almost look like false lashes. 5/5
3.     Rimmel Scandal eyes flex - As you can probably tell I love mascaras  that create volume and this is definitely one that creates loads. 4/5
4.     Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes- this is the only high-end mascara that I actually like. It creates subtle length and volume with a winged effect. I normally use this if I’m going for a really natural look. 3.7/5

My worst mascaras are:
1.     Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Express waterproof – I feel weird    about this mascara as all my friends that used it are completely in love with it but I never got that feeling. I simply feel like it applies loads of product on to my lashes without doing anything. When I apply water   the lashes stick together and become spidery. 1.9/5
2.      Maybelline Great Lash in Big- I’ve heard that the normal brush version of this works extremely well but the big version doesn’t do anything   big. It lifts my lashes the tiniest big and barely adds any length.  2/5
3.     Wet n Wild Mega Length- this mascara creates great length it makes it seem as if I have 5 lashes.  However the brush is so thing that its perfect for bottom lashes. 2.1/5
4.     Kiko Sparkle Lashes- this top coat mascara clumps the lashes together leaving sticky lashes… not pretty. 1/5

Victoria's View | The Jelly Shoe

Hello my lovelies,
There are so many trends going on at the moment but today I’m going to be talking about the jelly shoe. The first and last time I wore jelly shoes was the summer I was 6 while I was at the beach, its sole purpose was so I could walk on the rocks without getting hurt. The majority of my friends at the time had a pair and though they were the shiz. Recently they’ve made a come back but now there no longer for 6 year old.

I loathe jelly shoes and think they look horrible on most people. There are very few exceptions to who can pull them off.  The only way I can like them, to a certain extent of the word like, is if they the shoe is black and paired with black socks, preferably frilly or white and paired white socks, also preferably frilly.

Kylie Jenner is a celeb who I can tell is loving the trend , I’ve seen her sporting this trend and she stuck to the black and white most of the time.

Favourite Fashion Apps

Hello my lovelies,
Just like the majority of the population, I own a mobile phone. I have my iphone in my hand 24/7 and I’m always on the same apps. This blog is going to be about my favourite fashion apps.
In no specific order…

1.Instagram- I’m sure you all know about Instagram but if you don’t then it’s basically a social media app where you can share photos with your followers and like and comment on pictures of people you follow. A lot of celebrities and fashion icons use it so I love using it to get inspiration for my outfits.

My favourite fashion and beauty accounts are…
@brandymelvilleeu
@bestylist
@zozeebo  (zoella)

2. We Heart It- I love this app, it has so many cute pictures to just scroll down through, heart and save. This inspires me on a daily basis to switch up my look, pair together items I wouldn’t usually put together and it has the best quote pictures.

3. The Hunt- the hunt is an app that allows you to upload cute pictures of any item you want to know where to get. You can also post a bunch of other
things that you would like to know like what films to watch on Netflix or what to pair with a certain top. You can even just search up items or follow searches so you can then find amazing things.

These are my favourite fashion apps. You should check them out, I’m sure you would all love them.

Coachella 2014: Black

Hello my lovelies,
The 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was a haven this year, with celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Lauren Conrad, Lea Michelle and many, many more. I loved seeing all the different outfits worn on weekend one. High waisted shorts, pastel crop tops and peak-a-boo lace were everywhere but this year black was a huge success!

Coachella and spring are associated with delicate pastel colours and black is almost banned from the season’s hotspot but this year black was everywhere and I, like you loved it.

Ashley Benson, Kylie and Kendall Jenner sported the black look perfectly, including black lace, crop tops and super cute studded fanny pack.

Kendall- looked stunning on day 2 with boho beachey waves and simple short and long chain necklaces. She sported a plain black tube crop top with frayed black high-waisted shorts and tassel sandals. But what really won me over was the long lace kimono/cardigan she wore.
Kylie- was my favourite wearing a flowy strapless black crop top, black scalloped shorts and black combat boots. Her accessories really brought the outfit together; I loved her floral hair accessory, which made her up do look polished, her simple back chocker and silver statement, which complimented the flowy top, cat shaped reflector sunglasses and last but not least her studded black fanny pack! The number one item for Coachella.

Ashley Benson wore a black crop top with a lace front and black loose shorts with little black booties and a long side bag. She accessorized with a simple triangle necklace and some arm candy and rings.

Some other ways of interpreting the black look are these outfits-

My interpretation of the look-

Playsuit- Primark
Jacket- H&M
Neckless- Primark
Bag- Rue21
Shoes- Charlotte Russe
Glasses- Vintage

Welcome To My Blog !

Hello my lovelies,
Welcome to my blog. I'm really exited to finally come through and start up my own blog, like I've wanted to do for around two years now. As my first blog I thought it would be a nice idea to do the ‘Get To Know Me Tag’ so you all can know a little bit about me.

Lets get started…

1. Are you named after anyone? Before I was born everyone actually thought I was a boy and I was going to be called Nicholas, but as a surprise to everyone there I was a little baby girl. My mum hadn’t even thought of a girls name so my aunty actually named me and it was after the main actress on her favourite TV show. How inspiring…
2. When was the last time you cried? The last time I cried was two nights ago I was listening to ‘The Fault in our Stars’ on Audible. I’m a really emotional person.
 3. Do you have kids? Nope.
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? Yes I probably would, I’m really outgoing and approachable.
5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? sarcasm is my second language.
6. Will you ever bungee-jump? I’ve been dying to go bungee-jumping, it’s defiantly on my bucket list!
 7. What’s your favorite cereal? For the great majority of my life its been coco pops but since December 2013 I’ve been obsessed with special K. It’s like happiness in a bowl.
8. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Appearance wise, their smile.
9. What is your eye colour? My eye colour always varies from a grey blue to and olive green but normally a grassy green.
10. Scary movie or happy endings? Defiantly happy endings, I’m a sucker for them but I love my scary movie nights in with the girls.
11. Favorite smells? I’m in love with my Victoria’s secret body spray in pure seduction. I also really like my Paco Rabanne XS.
12. Summer or winter? As I live in London where we’re known for out rainy days and go all out at the first sight of sun, I feel obliged to say SUMMER! I love the beach, the sun and everything in between.
 13. Computer or television? 100% computer. You’ll always find me on my mac on netflix or youtube.
14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home? I love traveling and one-day hope to travel to the furthest corners of the world but so far LA is the furthest I’ve been to the west.
15. Do you have any special talents? I like to think I’m good with languages as it runs in the family.
16. Where were you born? I was born in New York.
17. What are your hobbies?  I love traveling and discovering new places around London. I also love shopping and youtube.
18. Do you have any pets? I don’t but I wish I had a golden retriever.
19. Favorite movie? My latest fav is ‘Divergent’ but my favourites have always been ‘She’s The Man’, ‘Sydney White’, ‘The Blind Side’, ‘The Hunger Games’ and soo many more…
20. Do you have any siblings? I’m basically an only child which is so boring since I love kids.
21. What do you want to be when you grow up? Since I can remember till the age of 8 I wanted to be an actress but then up until last year I wanted to be either an architect or dentist but now I’m quite undecided.
